Common Frequently Asked Questions for our Newborn & Maternity Sessions

  • These moments are best captured between 34-36 weeks, this is a great time to photograph your moments before bubs arrives

  • My style of newborn session is natural baby-led posing. This simply means I have a workflow of natural poses but on the day I will follow each bub’s natural movements and personality.

    With this style, the ideal time for a newborn photo shoot is around 5-14 days old as Bub is still sleepy and can easily be wrapped and settled. Babies at this age also love to be curled up as it reminds them of the womb.

  • The earlier the better when it comes to booking a maternity or newborn session. We want to secure your due date as soon as possible

    Due to newborn due dates being an estimate arrival, we only secure 6 due dates a month to accommodate flexibility.

    That means we will pop a date in for 7-14 days after your due date and then you just keep me updated on bubs actual arrival and we can shift it either way if needed. NOW as I limit the bookings I take that does mean that I do tend to book out early which again is another reason to get in early to secure your date.

  • I’m very fortunate to have a home studio, prepared for newborns and families.

    We are also happy to have sessions take place in your own home, for the lifestyle home sessions

    Maternity Sessions you have the choice of on location or studio

  • Yes! We simply all newborn outfits and can even dress mum too.
